Dr Gift Mtukwa

Gift Mtukwa (PhD, University of Manchester) is Dean and Senior lecturer at the School of Religion and Christian Ministry at Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya. He was born and raised in Zimbabwe and lives in Nairobi, Kenya. He earned a bachelor’s degree in theology, a Master of Arts in Religion from Africa Nazarene University, a Master of Arts in Theology, and a PhD from the University of Manchester in England, United Kingdom. Dr Mtukwa is the author of Work and Community in the Thessalonian Correspondence (Langham Monographs, 2021), peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He is an ordained minister with the Church of the Nazarene and teaches New Testament and Greek. He is the founding pastor of the University Church of the Nazarene; he pastored this church for thirteen years. He is married to Judy Gikanga, and they have two children—Nathan, aged six, and Zoe, aged three. Gift loves running and hiking.
